WHAT’S YOUR ROLE AT ANT HIRE SOLUTIONS?
As Pressure Test Supervisor, I’m responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the pressure testing department. This includes our team of Test Analysts, monitoring of outgoing equipment and ensuring we provide a first-class pressure testing service to our customers.
WHAT DID YOU DO PRIOR TO YOUR ROLE HERE AT ANT HIRE SOLUTIONS?
Before I joined Ant Hire Solutions I was at Andrew Pages Ltd, where I oversaw the day-to-day workings of the distribution hub which provided goods for 66 branches nationwide.
WHAT HAS WORKING AT ANT HIRE SOLUTIONS TAUGHT YOU?
Working at Ant Hire Solutions has taught me the power of teamwork and collaboration. When I first started, there was a small number of knowledgeable and skilled staff but we’ve expanded since then. When any new team member joins to support our growth, it is very important to not only share my knowledge and expertise with every new starter but also to take on board new ideas and systems that they have to offer.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT ANT HIRE SOLUTIONS?
Seeing the business go from strength to strength and knowing that I have played a role in that growth. Feeling valued within a company can often be overlooked when taking into consideration your personal and professional progression as the years go by. Everyone at Ant Hire Solutions truly lives by our core values. I have experienced our ‘People Matter’ value myself, having been involved and consulted during key moments of the business’s growth. It does make you feel part of the work-family.
WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF WORK?
My interests outside of work are mostly based around socialising with friends and family. I enjoy going out for meals, attending gigs and embracing the fantastic nightlife that Leeds has to offer. I am also an avid Manchester United fan which, growing up in Leeds, which working with Leeds United fans and enduring a prolonged period of poor form, has not been the easiest task.
NAME ONE THING THAT PEOPLE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU
I attended Leeds College of Music and can play 4 instruments to a high level; Guitar, Bass, Piano and Drums.
AS ANT HIRE SOLUTIONS GROWS, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS?
Hopefully managing an expanded pressure testing team who are regarded as the leading name in the UK when it comes to pipeline pressure testing. We will still be developing new and innovative products and procedures to ensure the Ant Hire Solutions name is held in the highest regard, and our customers are kept safe and compliant.
