Ant Hire Solutions are delighted to have received some great feedback from our attendance at Balfour Beatty’s ‘Boots on the Ground’ event held at the East Leeds Orbital Route site last week.
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of health and safety issues in the industry, as well as to discuss both environmental and sustainable best practices.
The site is the location of a major project to develop the Leeds outer ring road in anticipation of an extra 5,000 houses being built in the area. It will also help to improve traffic on one of the most congested roads in the UK.
During the day, we demonstrated our unique manhole base construction system, Vertform® alongside our range of specialist LAMPE stoppers.
Vertform® provides a great environmental benefit in that’s its components are reusable and interchangeable allowing for flexibility when constructing multiple inverts. It also has a lower carbon footprint than alternative methods such as precast manholes as it is much lighter to transport.
Our LAMPE pipe stoppers provide huge safety benefits to the industry; making full contact with the pipe wall at a very low pressure (0.01 bar), they are significantly safer than traditionally shaped stoppers.
